Al Scott Lock & Safe was started by Allan Scott and his wife, Eileen, back in 1973. After recognizing a need for professional locksmith services, Allan started his company—his first service truck was a homemade camper put on top of a 1963 GMC pickup truck. Luckily, he was able to grow his locksmith company to six mobile units and two brick-and-mortar stores.
In 1991, Allan and Eileen retired and sold the company to an employee, who later opened a third location. In May 2014, Tony Oljaca of Accurate Security Group took notice of the promising company and acquired all three stores. "It seemed like the perfect fit," he says. "It's almost identical in every respect to our family-owned Accurate Lock, Safe & Alarm company." With the acquisition, Al Scott Lock & Safe is now part of the largest lock and safe company in western Canada.
The three stores are located in downtown Vancouver, Richmond and Langley, B.C., providing a full array of the latest residential and commercial security products to both individuals and industrial clients in all three cities.
