Devin O'Rourke, owner and founder of Metro Dogs Daycare & Grooming Salon, is justifiably proud of the consumer awards that his business has received. "We've won the 'Best Dog Daycare' in Burnaby six times between 2005 and 2014, and the 'Best Dog Groomer' award from the Burnaby Now readers," he says. “We were also voted Finalist in the 'A-List' for 'Favourite Dog Daycare and Dog Groomer in Burnaby,' from the Burnaby News Leader readers."
Starting as a dog daycare and natural food store in 2001, Metro Dogs has evolved to concentrate on daycare and grooming, replacing the food store with a line of healthy, natural treats.
"Our original location was a block down the street," says Devin, "and we moved to our current 5,000 square foot premises about five years ago. We're basically an indoor dog park, with lots of ramps, jungle gyms and big squishy cushions so senior dogs can hang out in comfort while still able to socialize and be part of the pack atmosphere."
