Great sales experience which was fully negated with awful service experience. I rode almost 1.5 hour from Richmond Hill to them for my first service. Sturgess charged me for an exhaust cleaning service! which i never asked, but only inquired why residues were present on exhaust of a brand new bike. What makes them win the award of non-prfoessional service is neither service manager nor technician responded back to my phone call about the matter. Bunch of rookies and dishonest people in service d

    Not very customer friendly

Last weekend, I started the job of replacing the brakepads on the front wheel of my 27 year old goldwing. I went to another Honda dealer for brakepads and was pleasantly surprised to not only find that they had them in stock, but they only cost $25 a pair. I bought them, brought them home, and promptly spilled brake fluid on one of them. It soaked it up like a sponge. For 25 bucks, I decided to be safe and toss them. I went back to that dealer to pick up another pair, only to find that they are closed on Mondays. So I went to Sturgess Cycle. They wanted $40 for the same item, but I decided to buy them anyway and get the job done. Before letting me pay for them, the young guy at the parts counter went to his computer and asked me for my phone number. I told him he couldn't have it, that I only have a cell phone and I don't give that number out to businesses. He insisted. I suggested he make one up, put that in his data base and let me pay for the pads. Baffled, he went to find his boss. A woman came out and lectured me that they must have my phone number in case the manufacturer decides to recall the brake pads. I told her that if she wouldn't sell me the pads without my revealing my personal information, then I would have to spend my money elsewhere. She still insisted. I politely said "Great, thanks anyway", then turned around and left. I went back to the other dealer today. The guy remembered me. I handed him the empty brake pad package and asked if they had any more. He went and got them, then he asked why I needed them. I explained about the brake fluid spill. He smiled and gave me a 20% discount on the new pads, just because "he felt sorry for me." There was never any hint that he had to have my personal information in case of a recall. I'm going to be in the market for a new bike soon, and this little incident is going to be in the front of my mind when I decide to drive to Burlington to buy it.
