One of Pickering’s best-kept hair secrets, Laia Hair Styling, was opened by seasoned stylist Nader Sayegh in 2010. This salon offers a full range of services from an experienced hair professional with decades of experience in the industry. Tending hair of women and men in Lebanon and his homeland of Syria, where well-styled hair is the norm with the fashionable set, Nader’s skills have transitioned smoothly to his Toronto clientele. “I do all kinds of hair,” says Nader. “I do men’s, women’s and kids’ cuts, as well as colours, highlights, extensions and perms.”

Nader’s your stylist if you’re looking for a romantic up-do for a wedding or something based on a celebrity hairstyle. “If a movie star has something that makes you go ‘wow,’ I can do it because of my experience,” he assures. Have a big day at the office and can’t face doing your hair yourself? It’s no problem for Nader to fit you in before regular opening hours for a wash and blow-dry that will last for hours. “I don’t think anyone offers this but me,” he says. “Some customers come at 6:30 in the morning before they go to work.”
