Frame it on Bloor owner David Ignas is no pushover when it comes to his craft. “A lot of people want to play it safe” with custom framing, says David, who has been in the business for more than 25 years. “But I’ll challenge them to get outside their comfort zones. We really push to find the ingredients that make a special composition.”
Since arriving at Frame it on Bloor in 2004, David has curated a collection of more than 3,500 samples: Every colour and texture of matting imaginable; protective glass that ranges all the way up to museum quality; and a stunning array of mouldings, hundreds of which adorn one wall of the store’s tidy showroom.
