Adele Stevens knew she was going to be an entrepreneur. She didn’t know what her business would be, but she was sure that she'd be her own boss. She worked as a hairstylist for many years and when she and her husband decided to set up their own business, a salon and spa seemed like the ideal choice.
“My husband and I lived on the upper floor and we ran the hair studio and spa out of the lower floor for the first six years,” says Adele. ÇaVaBien Hair Studio & Day Spa opened in 1998, and in 2005 they moved off of the premises and renovated the upper floor into a spa.
What started off as a small operation grew into a flourishing venture over the years as ÇaVaBien became more and more successful. “I now have 52 employees. I started off with four,” says Adele. “Through the years it has been a growth process.”
I visit Calgary twice a year and CaVaBien is the highlight of my visits! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are great and make you feel very comfortable! If only I lived in Calgary...
