I contacted Robert regarding a old snowmobile I had purchased. This man went out of his way to be unbelievably helpful and did more than I had requested or hoped for. He received no money for his time. He just helped out a fellow Canadian snowmobile enthusiast!
We used Roberts’ services this past summer and found him to be an honest, knowledgeable, straightforward individual. The negative reviews surprise me, Robert did exactly what he said he was going to do and we got rid of a lot things that no one in the family wanted. I highly recommend him.
If you want to be cleaned out this is your guy. Dont worry about communication since once he had your best stuff hell ignore you claiming to be too busy to reply to everything. But if he does reply it will be to say oh I havent had a chance to look that up which to me is about as useful as a bag of snakes. I find him to be very convincing cunning sly and borderline shady. A literal gold digger .his main purpose is to take advantage of people in a vulnerable state and line his pockets
I just referred Robert to a client of mine based on my previous experience selling some high end pieces through him. I was surprised when I saw the negative reviews as this is not at all reflective of my dealings with him. I highly recommend him.
Our experience with Robert Britnell has been EXCEPTIONAL. Everything he has told us has been up front. As much as people think everything they have is very valuable, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. We had items we thought were worthless which actually sold for much more than we expected. All items are sent to Auction, they are not placed on Ebay or any other Buy & Sell website. I stand by my review & know people well versed in antiques who recommend Robert.
Had the same experience as the other reviewer. Supposedly priceless pieces sold for $50 and collector coins sold at less than face value. Something is amiss and warrants further investigation.

What this client neglected to relate was that a watch that a dealer offered to buy for $25 sold for $500+. As for the collector coins: investigation was indeed completed that revealed that these coins were common nickel based coins with no silver content. Thus, the low prices achieved. In that I am not an alchemist I cannot turn a “sow’s ear” into a “silk purse”. Robert Britnell, Muskoka, Ontario.
If having Mr. Britnell clean your house out of your treasured, time honoured keepsakes not to mention items you do not suspect to have any market value (until you spy them on the market mere months later) then by all means have him turn these family mementos into $20 here and $15 there as you trust his years "In the Business" and accept him at his word.

I do not sell any of my client's items. Items are placed for sale in well advertised auction venues via the internet that are visited by as as many as 50000 to 70000 potential buyers. It is the buyer in today’s marketplace that decides what an item is worth. I have helped a great number of clients over the last 20 years and I continue to be of service. The majority of the business I am currently involved with results from referrals from clients that were very happy with the service I provide. It is the buyer in today’s auction marketplace that decides what an item is worth.
