I am a regular and feel that the food is OK to good, (sometimes have the steak and kidney pie or fish and chips)
Service is very good, I cannot think who the agumentative server would be from a previous reviewer.
Overall good ambiance, sometimes difficult to get a table, but that says it all.

Quaint little pub, with countless different beers...
Quaint little pub, with countless different beers on tap, great atmosphere, and friendly service. Wait staff are mature, responsible, and friendly. I swear the chef there must be some famous guy working under cover in a local corner pub, becuase it is by far the best pub food I have eaten anywhere. The food is like going to an expensive restaurant at 1/3rd the price, and seems like it has the special touch that it was made just for you, and not like the production line feel that you get at other places.
