Prompt coutious service. Good food, served hot and the portions were a good size.
I visit here often. The food is good, portions large and the staff are friendly. Sunday afternoon for football the place is very busy. Will I visit again? Most likely next week.
I have played in an ultimate frisbee league just down the road from The Wild Goose for 4 years. My team goes there about once a month after the games. Last week we went and had a horrible experiance with one of the waitresses! We are a very friendly group but for some reason the waitress had a real chip on her shoulder from the beginning. We ordered water right away and with a snotty tone she asked "is that all you're going to drink". We said no and that we were going to be having beer and food. She continued to be snotty right up until she brought the bill. My Buddy made the comment that he wasn't going to leave her a tip but we all decided he should leave something. I'm always a very generous tipper but we decided to leave her $10 on a $135 bill. We got up and left but on the way out the waitress stopped my Buddy's girlfriend and asked "did you mean to leave $10 on $135?". We said "what?" and she repeated herself. My friend's girlfriend was so shocked and embarassed that she went into her purse and gave her another $5. The waitress said thanks and walked away. This experience ruined what was a pretty good night for all of us. If the manager reads this....we sat a table 16 on Wed, Aug 16, 2006. You should let your staff know that tips (gratuities) are earned not just given!
