I have never received such large portions in all...
I have never received such large portions in all of my restaurant-visiting life! The bruschetta (and the side of garlic bread) were approximately the size of a pizza. The bruschetta was very good, lots of olive oil (which I enjoy with any bread) and fresh tomato. The garlic bread does not receive as great of a review, it was not very garlic-y and spices or extra flair was completely non-existent, especially compared with the rest of the meal. I have never had scallops before, so couldn't review them properly, but they were very good for my first try (the sauce they were in was amazing). My date LOVED his grilled halibut (ate every last bite), the fish was done to perfection. It came with vegetables and salad - the salad he changed to wedge fries, but these were put under the halibut and became completely soggy. Too bad... My grilled cod was also done to perfection - the cod itself was enough to feed everyone at the table. Wonderful seasoning, if perhaps a bit over-killed. It came with (LOTS OF) chickpeas and roasted potatoes - I would have prefered something green on my plate, but it was my fault for not substituting. The couple I went with enjoyed their meals with only a few "bad" complaints; the grilled fish combination included a very "fatty" fish which was not eaten and the monkfish had bones. But, all the fish came with their bones (mine came with a fin!), so it wasn't a surprise. Also, the grilled fish combo AND the monkfish came with whole shrimps, which was an interesting touch. Warning to fellow restaurant-goers: if you enjoy olive oil, this is the place to go! If not, stay away - all our food included olive oil to some degree. Our server was fantastic - she was upbeat, accomodating and very helpful when one of us could not decide what to order. Other than that, the restaurant itself was very nicely thought out, the decor was quaint and comfortable and we regret not being able to sit out on the patio. The air could have been on a few notches higher, though. All-in-all, glad I left a big tip!
