Thai Palace

arrived new years eve with no reservation 5 ish. very good service, lovely atmosphere, delicious food with good tips from the waitress on spice...interesting special rooms for a group would be fun.

called in a large dinner order at 6:30pm. After I put my order in, the lady that took the order hung up quickly after not telling me when the order would be ready. I arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and the waitress who took my order over the phone stated that something was wrong - that she had entered my name into the computer, but not the order and that it would take a bit longer - about 20 more minutes. So, I went left and said I would come back again. They called at 7:30pm and stated that the order was ready (I was already on my way). When I arrived, I asked if there would be a discount or anything because of the delay and error. The waitress stated that there wouldn`t be - the glitch with the computer couldn`t be helped (When it was really human error, because she did not enter my order properly or check that is was ok). When I got home, the bottom of my takeout bag was soaking wet (I drove carefully and the bag remained upright). They styrofoam containers were all piled on each other and one of my dishes - the styrofoam got `squashed` and leaked all over. Also, I didn`t get my two orders of sticky rice...the food was good, but the take out experience was disappointing. Maybe I'll tray their other location next time. UPDATE: 01-04-2010 - I got a call today from the Manager/Owner of this restaurant who read this review. She acknowledged that this happened and was very apologetic. She was not aware that this occurred - and followed up with staff involved. I appreciate her apology.

Service could be better. Pad Thai noodles were dry and tasteless and the red curry was watery. I definitely had better Thai peanut sauce else where. The chicken tasted rubbery and was not fresh. Worst anniversary my husband and I had. It was not well worth my money.

The service was okay, quick but not super friendly. The food was definitely not the best Thai food I have had. The chicken satay seemed rubbery. Nothing seemed fresh and frozen vegetables were used in my meal. The Pad Thai was okay at best. The deep fried banana was the only impressive item me and my friend had... This is not an authentic experience and seems to be a rushed dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing. I tried a mango fruitshake, it was the most amazing drink I have ever tasted. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the service was above and beyond the service that I normally receive in most restaurants. This was my second visit, and I am looking forward to my next one, and the one after that, and the one after that...etc. Highly recommend it, if you want high quality food, go here. They are known for having the best Thai cuisine in the city. As well, they use nothing but the freshest possible ingredients. I always leave there feeling full, and satisfied, never a heavy feeling like when eating chicken wings, for lack of a better example.
