I was hesitant to stay at this hostel, but pleasantly surprised upon my arrival. The hostel was cute, with a very west coast feel. The staff were AWESOME and the rooms very clean. I stayed in the main property but went and looked at the private guest cottages and they were adorable. They have surfboard rentals & lessons here too. Good grocery store within walking distance.

Very nice accommodation. We were in town over a 3 day August holiday weekend, w/o previous reservations, and they managed to fit us in to a room someone else had cancelled. 2 queen beds (we only needed 1) one in a separate bedroom and one in the living space. Affordable rate, friendly staff. Will definitely stay again when we are in that part of BC.

A great place to stay. Staff is totally awesome. It is clean and well maintained.
Definitely recommend.
Reasonable rates, great service.
The owner even greeted us and gave us special attention!

I would recommend staying at the Sand Castle Inn to anyone who wants to experience the true Parksville. This place is close to the beach and is walking distance to the centre of town. The staff is very friendly and is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a good one. I will definatly stay at the Sand Castle Inn again next summer.

What a beautiful get away. If you come to Vancouver Island to experience the West Coast and not some stuffy hotel room this is the place to be. It has waterfront river access and friendly West Coast welcome with gift baskets and personable service. The rooms were lovely. You can use the BBQ and the wharf. You can cook inside or outside and save on food costs. Great for families or friends or just to meet people in the outdoor areas if you want. I would love to come back with friends again.
